True Cock

So I haven’t actually seen the show True Blood, but I read most of the Sookie Stackhouse books with the exception of the last few (which weren’t out yet) a few years ago and loved them. I’m planning on re-reading the series and finishing them all…and I’m wondering if I should give the show a shot too. I’ve heard good things about it, but I’ve also heard it’s quite different from the books. Thoughts anyone?toywithmetuesday

I’ve picked up the first book on a tip from a friend to start reading them. I read so much. So my response to any TV show is I don’t know, I don’t watch TV. Tell me how it is if you do check it out since now I’ll be reading.

The books and the shows differ alot, certain characters live when they should die or vice versa. It follows the basic plotline through roughly the end of the second book then starts down its own path. The show is good in its own right, just go in with an open mind.

The first couple of seasons are very good. After that the show just loses itself though there’s a lot of fun in the storytelling, and then the last season is a complete mess. Different showrunners. Nothing makes any sense just in terms of storytelling, let along the world they’ve established.
