And who has not felt like that!

Penny, tell us how you set up the shoot. (Or keep your secret. Some secrets are more interesting, no?) Timer? Friend?

My lady and I tried some of this at your inspiration. Not easy. Not easy to get someone to trust you to shoot them well.

      Hey Dan,

The majority of my images are self portraits. I usually use my remote trigger with the capture set to a 2 second delay so I can hide it from view in time for the shot. I have a flip-monitor, and I position the focus before shooting.

I agree-finding someone to shoot you who you feel comfortable with can be difficult…which is why self portraits are my favorite, though with the right photographer modeling can be fun as well. 🙂

I had an app on my phone that enabled me to set everything up, but my little lead has broken so I will need to get a new one.

Quite a lot of my shots are self taken; I often switch the camera to MF, set it all up with an object like a pillow or teddy bear to focus on and then replace the object with myself or me.

I sooo love your series of self-portraits. I wish I had an nth of the skill you have with them! I only just figured out that there is a timer on my cell phone, and how to use it! LOL But it’s more than the technical know-how, dear Penny…you have a real eye for what makes a picture…deeper. Not just sexy, but *erotic* and tense and deep and touching.

Thank you for sharing these with us. 🙂

This is a beautiful photo. I really need to get myself a remote, but then again most of my self portraits are made with my Cybershot and that one is too old for a remote. I think I need a new camera!

    Great photo, Penny. Great angle!

Like you, nearly all my images are self taken. I use a tripod and a remote trigger.

This image is stunning, I love how the ripples of your spine I mirrored slightly by the ripples in the curtain tie.
